Racing loft of Tony Jordan (J&J Loft) in Waco, TX.  The loft is newly constructed and is 16 x 12 and site 20 inches off the ground. The loft has a rear hall and windows across the rear of the loft, it also has upper ventilation and is equipped with computerized clocking. The landing board hinges down to double the size of the board or folds up to help settle the birds.

I started racing back in 1972 with the Cleburne Racing Pigeon Club and raced every season for 25 years.  I was lucky enough to win Club, Combine, Concourse races, along with many Champion Bird Awards, Futurities, Convention Races, All American and Hall of Fame awards.  I also became Secretary of the Texas Center.  At that point I began getting transferred and housed my birds at my fathers until I could get back home. While working I spent time in Southern CA,  Northern CA,  Denver, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Chicago, & Dallas.

My family of birds consist mostly of Grondelaers, Van Loons and Janssens. I had the opportunity to know & visit with Campbell Strange on many occasions.  I acquired my Janssens and Grondelaers from him, and of course my Van Loons all go back to the OHF greats.  I remember a high light of my times with him when Campbell inviting me over to watch for birds with him on a 500 mile nominated race. We had a great discussion that day on yearling cocks racing against old widowhood cocks. That day a famous yearling was clocked and beat his best that he had always clocked on the long races. He said it was the first time this family had been beat at his loft on the 500 mile races.

Along with my Janssens, Grondelaers and Van Loons I have added a couple of other key pigeons that I feel will get me back to the glory days. These are a couple of Merckx Cocks from CBS. I did this due to my last AU Hall of Fame winner was a very inbred Merckx Janssen hen.

However some of my Club members think I am a has been.  I'm 56 now and looking forward to finally have some real time for the birds. Also I hope to prove them wrong.

I am now a member of the Waco Racing Pigeon Club and enjoy flying with each and every  member. We have some great guys and gals.
