James Allen reports on Jan 2, 2010

The birds were divided randomly into four carriers.

Ray took the birds to Brenham, which is 80 to 85 air miles for me.
The birds were released in thirty minute intervals.
The brids circled for several minutes before coming down.
The conditions were nice and they could have easily gone the full race distance.
They didn't even get their suits hot!
All groups came with at least 8 birds.

Release times:
Red 8am
Blue 8:30 am
Green 9am
Yellow 9:30 am

Conditions: Clear, mid 30's with a light east wind.

The clock times for some of the birds do not reflect the actual time they arrived.

Some arrive in the first group but continue flying due to them being in such great shape.

James has had a hawk come thru and the birds keep watching for him when they arrive.

They then pick and choose when they come down and trap.

The birds are very healthy and in great shape as well as being trained a great deal and will

continue to be on the road.
